I have always paid attention to details, as young as I can remember...when I was a kid and someone asked me for something from the kitchen I would serve it and plate it in a unique way, no one really taught me, I didn't see it from my parents, it came naturally to me. I had an eye for details, I appreciated them and embraced them. Now as an adult I realize it's in everything that you do- every single thing. From relationships to work to creating an entire life. Those details are what make this world a better place. Creating a better place a better experience, producing quality work. I feel energized and inspired when I am planning the perfect birthday party, planning the menu, creating the ambiance, from the save the date notices, to the invites to the event to the thank you notes... the same goes for holidays, special events in our lives and of course when I have a design project... and...Now that I map out my plans for the future it becomes more apparent to me and has actually become my tag line, my business model, my motto. I want to create an special experience with my clients whether it is in interior design or customer service in my place of business -show room, tween specialty hair salon. I read an article about the founder of build a bear workshop - it was so inspiring, she talked about taking a simple idea and creating an "experience" once you make a bear why would you want to come back? It's the experience of shopping for your bear or creating a little friend for your existing bear... it left an impression...and I vowed to create an experience for myself, my family my clients and pay attention to the details...
This is my very first blog- I don't know in what direction it will go..but I plan to share all my little ideas and details as they come to me, as I plan for the next birthday, party, trip, business venture, design project etc... and hopefully I can contribute in a small way, in my own way, into making the world around me a better place one detail at a time.
good luck with the blog! :)
