When it comes to birthday parties, I find inspiration from everyday images and also from fancy stationery websites. Then I try to recreate my own interpretation with simple word processing programs and adobe acrobat. Sure you can use photo shop and illustrator or even publisher but you can also use a simple program such as word and free clip art to create invites, save the date notices and calendars - I was playing around yesterday and did this one for my daughter's upcoming b-day... Did I mention we are thinking Candy Shop Theme...? Granted it's in a few months from now but I love thinking ahead - Yes! think color color color, clear apothecary containers filled with colorful candy and a flowing chocolate fountain and colorful parisian-macaroons ...all these in the works. I will test the Martha Stewart recipe I found on her website and post my progress and final product. And of course as the months get closer the update on the progress of the party preparations and outcome.
If you need any help planning and decorating let me know!

You got it! I am glad you guys are diving into it.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to report I found a local french pastry place where they sell the macaroons at a very reasonable price - the Opera Cafe... anything you can do to make yourlife easier and actually focus on enjoying your party... I am all for it.
ReplyDeleteI am hiring my two little sisters to coordinate the candy theme party - they are starting their own business "twice as sweet" and I am all for it. I love the enterpeneur spirit!
